Phi Theta Kappa Mission

"The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage 学者hip among 两年制大学生. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for 学者 and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence."

Continuing a Tradition of Excellence

Phi Theta Kappa, founded in 1918, is recognized as the official honor society for two-year colleges by the American Association of 社区 Colleges. 协会成员 distinguished alumni are the late Ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick, astronaut Fred Haise 记者吉姆·莱勒.

All members of Phi Theta Kappa may wear the golden honor stole and tassel and key medallion during their commencement ceremony.
